Rajdeep Sardesai heckled at Madison square

NEW YORK: Senior journalist and Executive Editor of India Today group’s Aaj Tak and Headlines Today channels Rajdeep Sardesai, who was in New York to cover the address of Narendra Modi to NRIs at the Madison Square of New York, was heckled outside the venue.

A youth was caught on camera while assaulting the senior journalist. He was accompanied by a couple of friends though it was not clear what provoked the attack. A video of the incident has been going viral on social media as the youth have not yet been identified and their motive.

Rajdeep tweeted later: “Glad we caught the idiots on cam. Only way to shame the mob is to show them” following another tweet “Great crowd at Madison square garden! except a few idiots who still believe abuse is a way of proving their machismo!”
