The Commission took note of the fact that Modi used the event to launch a scathing attack on his rivals from the dais he shared with Ramdev at the event which was being transmitted in nearly 600 districts.
Praising the yoga guru, Modi said the issues raised by him are his own but they are giving sleepless nights to many. “If there was no ‘fire of truth’ in Ramdev, he would have run away long back,” Modi said.
The Gujarat chief minister also praised Ramdev’s decision to use technology to reach to audience nationwide by transmitting the event. Modi also used the occasion to patch up with Ramdev as the later was reported to be unhappy with him over distribution of tickets in the Lok Sabha elections.
