GULBARGA: In his sharpest attack ever on the Congress and the Gandhi-Nehru family, BJP PM candidate of Narendra Modi called Sonia Gandhi ’10 numbri Gandhi’ (used for a crook in Hindi) in a rally in Karnataka.
Modi accused Congress of playing ‘divide & rule’ politics as he blamed Congress over creation of Telangana at the cost of Seemandhra.
“See what happened in Andhra Pradesh. We wanted Telangana and we want development of Seemandhra. Congress killed the mother during child’s birth,” alleged Modi, adding Congress destroyed the nation, and distanced itself from people completely.
Modi said Congress behaved like a doctor who killed the mother to get the baby born. Congress leadership ignored Seemandhra only because it knew they won’t gain politically in the region. He promised to visit Seemandhra soon.
“Why is the Congress in shambles? It is because they have destroyed the country. In these elections, to cross double digits, the Congress will be reduced to tears,” said Modi.
He urged the voters not to trust Congress leaders and their poll promises. “Don’t trust promises made by Congress, or their intentions,” said Modi.
The BJP poster boy made fun of Congress saying the grand old party’s alternative identity is corruption and vote bank politics. He promised to provide details of each penny spent by the government if BJP comes to power.
