Arvind Kejriwal-led Aam Aadmi Party has dominated the social media for most part of last two years after it was born from the Janlokapal movement to fight against corruption at ground level and bring transparency in public life.
The rookies, whom politicians cutting across party lines dared to fight elections and make laws, taught the latter how to make good use social media in politics besides innovations in campaigning to reap maximum benefit at minimum expenditure. Volunteers holding placards on a street side, a flyover or a prominent location, catching attention of passersby, or posters at the back of auto-rickshaws, they chose to campaign differently than the traditional parties.
In fact, none of the parties could dominate social media so long as AAP did, thanks to a number of super hit campaigns on Twitter including #MufflermanReturns. AAP turned social media into a lethal weapon against rival parties when it comes to challenging their might on supremacy, of course except BJP, thanks to the growing popularity of NaMO and able management of Dharmendra Pradhan.
However, the rivals have now turned the table on Arvind Kejriwal and his supporters in their style. The ugly battle in the party has spilled over to the social media with several posters lambasting the Delhi CM and his style of functioning. While some of the posters are in the form of satire, others are laced with vengeance.
