NEW DELHI: Little did Delhi BJP chief Satish Upadhyay know that a photo session on ‘Clean India’ could prove to be an embarrassment to his party.
The BJP leader was spotted on Wednesday clearing garbage at the India Islamic Cultural Centre among a group of people on Wednesday.
However, a day later, photographs were making rounds on social media showing sanitation workers brought garbage on a trolley and littered the pavement before the event took off, and photographs were clicked with brooms in hand.
Upadhyay later clarified that he was not aware of the fact. He condemned the entire incident, saying people should not to indulge into any such act that would bring a bad name to a serious movement, launched by PM Modi.
