NEW DELHI: A Delhi Police traffic constable was suspended from duty for attacking an woman with a brick here on Monday over alleged violation of traffic rules and altercation.
Senior police officers said an inquiry would be conducted into the entire incident and till then the constable would remain under suspension.
A criminal case has also been filed against the cop who is seen assaulting an woman in a video clip.
The woman said she was on her way to drop the child in her school when the constable demanded a bribe alleging traffic rules violations. When she refused, he turned violent and attacked her besides abusing the child.
Meanwhile, media reports suggest the constable has been arrested.
