New Delhi: A shocking video shows how a Delhi Police van almost ran over AAP leader Dilip Pandey while he was talking to mediapersons in front of a police station.
Pandey said Delhi Police had detained few women volunteers of his party during a protest and kept them in the police station till late evening which was illegal. They were even refused medical treatment even though they were injured, he added.
Pandey said he had gone to the police station to meet the volunteers. He was talking to mediapersons in front of the police stations when a speeding van came from the behind and tried to run over him. He was lucky to survive as someone pushed him to the side.
The video shows the van stopped a few meters away as AAP volunteers rushed to the driver in a fit of rage. Suddenly few cops are seen coming to the rescue of the driver as a police officer is seen throwing punches and kicks to the angry AAP members.
Pandey said his party leaders would meet later to decide future course of action even as his colleagues alleged it was a conspiracy of Delhi Police to eliminate Pandey and other activists holding the protest.
