NEW DELHI: Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal and his ministers are sitting on a dharna outside the Rail Bhavan even as the Delhi Bar Council issued a show-cause notice to law minister Somnath Bharti.

The AAP ministers were prevented by Delhi Police from going to the Union Home ministry office for a planned protest seeking suspension of four Delhi cops on charges of inaction and high-handedness.

Delhi Police has asked Kejriwal to shift his protest to Jantar Mantar, citing prohibitory orders in the high-security area. Police made it clear that the protest will not be allowed to continue in the area.

Who said what:

Arvind Kejriwal: Who is more dangerous for Delhi — Saurabh Bhardwaj or Sushilkumar Shinde?

If Police has to decide what happens in Delhi then why were elections held? The Police commissioner should have been made CM.

Akhilesh tripathi, an MLA, brutally beaten by police. Why?

Nitish Kumar: It would rest on the wisdom of a CM to deal with a situation where he had no control over police which rests with the Central government.

Yogendra Yadav: In our manifesto, we have said AAP will struggle to bring Delhi Police under the control of Delhi government. Clause 12 in the manifesto clearly says that.

Barkha Dutt: Agree or Disagree with him, interviews with @ArvindKejriwal get colossal feedback.

Vijay Mallya: Government versus Government. Minister versus Minister. Never seen anything like this before. What is the AAP up to?

Nirmala Sitharaman: Governance is about making systems work. Activism can’t be substituted for governance. Congress being a mute spectator to AAP-created chaos on Delhi streets.

Yogendra Yadav: It was unusual for a chief minister to sit on ‘dharna’ on such a small demand, it was necessary because of the troubles faced by the people of Delhi.

Swapan Dasgupta, Political commentator: Those who lived in West Bengal in late-60s & early-70s will have seen it all before. I shudder at consequence if wild AAP politics continues.

Digvijaya Singh: AAP should contest Lok Sabha elections if it wanted to change laws as they are made in Parliament and not through dharnas on roads.

Manish Tewari: AAP should focus on administration instead of activism.

Kiran Bedi: I don’t think people voted AAP to power for disorder. They wanted governance. Kejriwal remains a protester, failed to be an administrator.
