NEW DELHI: Senior BJP leader and Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha Sushma Swaraj praised PM Manmohan Singh, UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi, Speaker Meira Kumar, former BJP chief Lal Krishna Advani among others in her final speech in the last session of the 15th Lok Sabha on Friday.
Wishing good luck to sitting members of Parliament, she called upon the leaders cutting across party lines to maintain the dignity of the House and strengthen Indian democracy. She thanked Advani for his guidance, saying it was he who has always advised her to maintain dignity of the House and keep it above political interest always.
Sushma also praised Manmohan and Sonia besides Speaker Meira Kumar who, she said, never lost her cool in the House which is key to her success in conducting business of the House well.
